Thrush-like schiffornis is a species complex that has been split into five species:
Brown-winged schiffornis, Schiffornis turdina Russet-winged schiffornis, Schiffornis stenorhyncha Foothill schiffornis, Schiffornis aenea Northern schiffornis, Schiffornis veraepacis Guianan schiffornis, Schiffornis olivacea
